Archer

Archer is a curious man. He can pull a song out of the depths of the earth and send it flying into the outerspace. You might find him lying under a rock in the middle of nowhere writing a song about a lizard or you might find him singing at the world famous Montreal jazz festival, or you might find him waltzing with a 93 year old woman or throwing kangaroo poo at people in the interests of science and humanity!! He has been called many things printable and not: "Australias Woody Guthrie" "unknown national treasure" "one of the last great Australian poets" "a walkin talkin singin leakin slowboat to china" etc.

Archer has recently been roaming around the topend of australia and recording music at sun studios and in new orleans with a traditional dixieland jazz band. Hes making a special trip to lismore to engage in a good old fashond entertainment/ideas exchangin night.

Greenswood

Preferring to let his music speak for him Greenswood is best described as dark edged acoustic folk with an amazing tribal feel inspired by folk, bluegrass and heavy metal.
Lyrically sombre with a unique voice his music narrates emotional struggles and hardship both his own and those of his kith and kin - never shying away from his truth.
His signature bittersweet guitar riffs are plaintiff but also uplifting

Greenswood just wants to play and be heard and its hard not to listen!

Sofiella & The Handsome Husbands

Sofiella & The Handsome Husbands are an independent 5 piece concocted through a mutual penchant for banjo twang and good whiskey. Their music swings between harmony heavy front porch folk, and foot stompin’ hillbilly barn burners.

“If we were a wanky wine label, we would read something like this...a motley mix of winsome folk, bruised with blues and infused with banjo. A full bodied country blend, with heady jazz notes, and spicy gypsy undertones”

Allensworth (Australian Tour)

Hailing from Southern California Allensworth fuse rock and soul into a melting pot of
true life anthemic stories.

Over the last 15 years Jamie Allensworth has received great recognition for his contributions to Southern California music taking home awards such as Best Live, Best Soul and R&B, Best Acoustic and Best Jam band from the Orange County Music Awards, which recognizes artists from Hollywood to San Diego.

Diving deeply into the soul tradition of James Brown, Otis Redding, and Curtis Mayfield,
Allensworth pays tribute with their own flavor alike current acts such as Alabama Shakes, Michael Kiwanuka, and Tame Impala all the while staying true to the unique craft of songwriting.

Known to captivate and move any audience, Jamie Allensworth and his band thrive on showmanship through infectious rhythms, clever word play, and soulful grooves. Allensworth’s live show has generated a buzz both in the states and abroad, playing venues and festivals throughout the U.S and Australia. Allensworth has opened for funk pioneers such as James Brown, Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, Maceo Parker, and Roger and Zapp.

“No song should last much more than two minutes” was the initial idea for Allensworth’s new
album. The southern California soul quintet is due to release “Albumsworth” the 25th early 2019. The whole record was recorded in 3 late nights sessions at Lovestreet Studios on the Gold Coast. The two-minute rule stood true for a few tracks but others had to evolve into extended versions because they were just too good to cut short.

Natalie Henry

Natalie’s life has played out like one long country song. The product of a broken home, with numerous stepbrothers, sisters and mothers, the singer was raised by her truck driver father, a KB drinkin’, camel-smokin’ man with the charm of Burt Reynolds. He would sing along to classics by Willie Nelson and The Highwaymen as Natalie lay in the sleeper cab of his prime mover, rolling interstate.

Natalie’s singing career didn’t begin until the age of 34, when she realised her love for writing was more than just words on a page, it was her way of feeding her emotion an escape from the daily routine. In just three years Natalie has been up, down and across Australia singing and sharing her stories of love, loss and heartache to festivals and shows all over.
The Debut Single “If We Said Goodbye” Produced by Bill Chambers. It's a powerful message, that “you can raise your babies equally as well apart.” Natalie says.

William Crighton (solo) + Beans on Toast (uk)

William Crighton embarks on his first headline solo tour throughout April and May 2019.

William says “This tour I will be on stage solo, telling some stories, sharing some thoughts and performing songs from both albums as well as airing some new material for the first time. This is my first headline tour performing solo and I've been putting a lot of effort into making it a memorable one for you. I'll be playing some keys and other various stringed things”. Obviously, I love the band and it will be a different experience not having them there this time but exploring, experimenting and peeling back the songs solo, finding out what can be conjured together with you in this format is an exciting prospect for me”.

William Crighton will be joined by UK artist ‘Beans on Toast’ who is a leading torch in the new wave of UK folk artists. The pair met whilst playing in the UK in 2018. William says “I met Beans on Toast in the UK at Boomtown Fair, I didn't see his gig there, but we caught up for a drink and had a great yarn. I saw his show at Edinburgh Fringe festival a week later and was a fan. He's relaxed, funny, serious and bizarre at the same time. If you haven't heard of him he's definitely worth a listen”.

Áine Tyrrell | Return to Sea Album Launch

Fiercely independent Tyrrell is not one to bend to the demands of conventional production arrangements, and so with the help of Creative Arts Victoria, her long time musical producer Mark Stanley, and her international fan base, ‘Return To The Sea’ went rogue, recording in lounge rooms, front bars, old churches, and remote islands.

Tyrrell’s passionate music draws from a number of styles and influences. Certainly traditional Irish folk is in her blood, but so too are elements of soul and rock ‘n’ roll. Her upbringing in County Clare and in the United States (her mother is American) and her new-found love of Australia also means she is drawing from many cultures in her writing.
